A weekend of fun on the water!
Join us for the 2025 Oulton Broad Watersports Festival, a fantastic weekend of taster sessions and water-based adventure, happening 17th and 18th May at the beautiful Oulton Broad.
Set against the scenic backdrop of Oulton Broad, this brand-new two-day event is a celebration of all things watersports. Whether you’re completely new to life on the water or looking to try something different, this is your chance to get involved, have a go, and enjoy a brilliant day out.
Across the weekend, we’ll be running free taster sessions in a wide range of activities, led by our experienced and friendly instructors. It’s all about giving everyone from individuals and families to friends and first-timers the opportunity to get active outdoors and experience the buzz of watersports in a safe and supportive environment.
Wingsurfing
The latest watersports craze, combining elements of windsurfing and kitesurfing. Hold the inflatable wing and use the wind to glide across the water, it’s a brilliant challenge and a whole lot of fun.
Windsurfing
A classic favourite that blends balance, technique and wind power. Stand on the board and control the sail to steer your way across the water, no experience needed, just a willingness to give it a go!
Sailing
Learn the basics of harnessing the wind to move a dinghy across the water. Our instructors will get you hands-on, working together to steer, tack and turn in one of the most rewarding water-based activities out there.
Paddlesports
Try your hand at paddleboarding, kayaking or canoeing. These are great for beginners, offering a brilliant introduction to being on the water. Choose your craft and see where the paddle takes you.
Rowing
A team effort thatu2019s all about timing and rhythm. Our rowing tasters will give you a feel for the sport and a chance to experience the unique perspective of gliding across the broad under your own power.
Please arrive at least 30 minutes before your session so we can make the most of your time on the water.
